Charlie Hunnam stars in Guy Ritchie's version of the King Arthur story. Jude Law, Eric Bana and Djimon Hounsou also appear. Joby Harold has written the screenplay based on the Arthurian legend by 12th Century English Historian, Geoffrey of Monmouth.
The film will focus on the period just before and just after Arthur draws Excalibur from the rock into which his father, Uther Pendragon (Eric Bana), drove the sword upon his death. Charlie Hunnam's chief antagonist is Vortigern, played by Jude Law, the man who murdered his parents and claimed the throne for himself, robbing Arthur of his rightful ascension to the the throne.
